Job Description The Associate Branch Director works in concert with the Branch Director to oversee all aspects of the branch. Responsibilities include overall branch profitability while meeting strategic targets through sales management, human resource management, operations control and compliance supervision. They provide leadership and support to Investment Advisors and support staff in hiring, training and motivating. They assess performance, provide developmental opportunities, coaching and feedback, and promote the firm’s corporate image by building and maintaining business relationships within RBC Financial Group and the community. What will you do? Demonstrate effective management and supervision of all compliance issues and responsibilities on a daily basis. Communicate effectively via weekly sales meetings, sales support meetings and team meetings. Actively participate in Investment Advisor recruitment, including sourcing, screening and coordinating interviews. Engage in high‑performance coaching with each Investment Advisor. Coach the Branch Administrator to ensure duties are understood and accomplished, and provide mentoring opportunities. Model behaviours that motivate employees for maximum results, including personal development, recognition and promotion. Consistently seek opportunities to involve employees in improving the working environment. Develop actionable feedback for Investment Advisors and support staff, both positive and corrective, and make tough decisions when needed. Solve difficult problems effectively, addressing root causes and looking beyond the obvious. Exhibit superior written and oral communication skills. What do you need to do to be successful? Must Have Post‑secondary education (college or university). Retail brokerage experience with a minimum of 2 years as an Investment Advisor or equivalent experience. Experience dealing with ambiguity and managing multiple operations and servicing activities in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to engage a diverse team that includes branch staff, middle office, and internal and external partners. Experience managing multiple priorities and handling challenging situations to drive success. Proven experience leading, coaching, developing and motivating others. Decisive and results‑driven orientation. CSC, CPH, BM license preferred. Nice to Have Experience with RBC Dominion Securities. Background in wealth‑management operations and the financial industry.
