Natural Forces is seeking a candidate to fill a Project Finance Analyst role to support our Finance and Accounting team, working cross‑functionally to support internal project teams. This is a full‑time position based in Halifax, NS. The primary responsibilities are: Conducting research, gathering data, model building, monitoring project performance and reporting. Coordinating with project teams to ensure financial goals are met throughout the project lifecycle. Key tasks / duties Project Analysis Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess funding needs, project development, financial viability of projects and potential risks. Prepare commercial analyses; prepare financial models and forecasts to support decision‑making process. Provide estimates to support pricing of Project Management Agreements, Development Service Agreements and Asset Management Agreements. Manage utility metering process including data collection and preparing statements. Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts. Monitor and report on budget performance, making recommendations for adjustments as required. Development Funding Management Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to develop comprehensive funding strategies that align with organizational goals and project requirements. Act as a primary point of contact for funding‑related inquiries and communication; provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders, including project teams, management and external partners. Contractual Compliance Ensure project funding activities comply with regulations, standards and organizational policies and best practices. Prepare and present regular reports on funding status, financial performance and progress to stakeholders. Manage compliance for various operating agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements and service contracts. Education and Experience Requirements Experience in financial analysis, funding management, or a related role within a finance/accounting environment. Post‑secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field combined with experience. Professional certification (CPA, CFA) or master’s degree considered an asset. In‑depth knowledge of financial markets, funding instruments and regulatory requirements. Experience in Excel, financial software and databases, as well as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
