OverviewRED SEAL INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIANActivity sector: Pulp and PaperSite: Kamloops, BCWage: $52.69 per hourRelocation: Allowance providedSchedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)Your RoleReporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.Your ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;Regular predictive/preventative maintenance;Servicing of control valves, emission monitors and kraft pulp analyzers;Use computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure and troubleshoot processes;Clean and perform routine maintenance work.Your Skills And AbilitiesSelf-directed and works with minimal supervision;Ability to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a variety of assignments with conflicting priorities and deadlines;Confident written and oral communicator;Change agent with the ability to collaborate well with others;Strong problem solving & analytical skills;Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;Detail oriented;Committed to best practices in health, safety and environmental managementWork well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor.Your QualificationsBC Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician CertificationExperience working in a safety sensitive industrial work environment;Strong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP);Possessing a dual ticket qualification in Electrical and/or HVAC in addition would be an asset.Why Work at Kruger?At Kruger, we believe in giving our employees the space to grow in a dynamic and stimulating environment, to encourage their development, and to enrich their professional lives.
