Job Description Exterior & Interior design of lighting systems for locomotive and rail passenger vehicles Production of detailed 3D models, General Assemblies, and fabrication drawings using Solidworks Perform detailed 3D designs, drawings & bills of materials Revise designs & drawings based on internal and customer feedback. Develop creative and innovative engineered solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements Keep project design records and files Maintain an organized filing system for all CAD files according to TDG procedures Adherence to timelines and schedules Requirements and Experience 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Designer Experience with 3D modeling software such as CATIA, Inventor, Pro-E, SolidEgde etc. Specific experience with SolidWorks an asset Advanced skills in SolidWorks for sheet metal design Knowledge & design experience for manufacturing processes – CNC Machining , Sheet Metal, Metal & Plastic Extruding. Fabrication, 3D printing. Injection Molding, Die-Casting, Stamping are an asset Knowledge of GD&T Basic understanding of electronics / PCB Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent capacity for synthesis analysis and innovation Working conditions Stable schedule from Monday to Friday Education Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Design) / University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
