Anderson Therapy Services (ATS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full‑Time Registered Mental Health - Art Therapist to join our collaborative, cross‑disciplinary team. We are looking for a clinician with experience supporting children and adolescents through emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Who We Are At ATS, we provide innovative and personalized therapy services to people of all ages across Canada, working with both Southern clients in the Dundas and surrounding areas, and a significant clientele stemming from contracts with Indigenous communities across Ontario, Nunavut, and Quebec. We value partnership, integrity, compassion, and innovation and believe in a collaborative approach to build individualized treatment plans. Clinicians have the flexibility to work remotely (virtual care) or in a hybrid model of virtual and in‑clinic service delivery. They are encouraged to participate in trips to the communities they work with to foster stronger connections with clients and community. Key Responsibilities Provide assessment and treatment to individuals of all ages with a broad range of psychological and/or social difficulties. Work with clients virtually in remote Indigenous communities using virtual care technology. Work with clients in the Dundas, Ontario office and surrounding areas. Travel to Northern First Nations Communities (up to 10% of the role annually; trips up to one week). Coordinate with other clinicians from other disciplines to provide a strong continuum of care. Provide support that promotes mental wellness, child growth and development, healthy parent‑child relations, and positive child‑school dynamics. Qualifications The “Must‑Haves” In good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (Registered). Able to travel to remote and rural Indigenous Communities across Canada. Special Note A qualified Social Worker with specialization in Psychotherapy in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers is also welcome to apply. The “Nice‑to‑Haves” Experience and specialized skills working with children, youth, and adults affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, separation/divorce, self‑harm, and suicidal ideation. Experience working with individuals and engaging caregivers in treatment both in‑clinic and remotely. Skilled in completing formal and informal assessments, and identifying person‑centered treatment goals. Experience tailoring intervention plans with directive and non‑directive art‑making approaches. Knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people, intergenerational trauma, culture, health priorities, and social issues impacting mental health. Ability to adapt assessment and treatment approach to clients of diverse cultural backgrounds and across various settings (e.g., online). Strong computer skills and familiarity with video conference software (Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva. Strong problem‑solving, creativity, flexibility, and time‑management skills to manage a changing caseload. Before Starting With Us A Vulnerable Sector police check. A strength/workstyle assessment.
