Slave Lake Veneer is currently recruiting for an Industrial Mechanic (Certified Millwright).You’ll Do:Maintenance of pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, bearings and hydraulics involved in the manufacturing processUndertake preventative maintenance program for equipmentRead blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to repair equipmentOperate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up and repair of equipment and machineryInspect and examine machinery and equipment and repair as requiredRepair and assemble hydraulic equipment and cylindersUse knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and savingsVerify and document repairs madeYou have:A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright certificationAbility to read blue prints, plans and schematicsMechanical aptitude; excellent problem solving skillsCommitment to working safely and creating a safe work placeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently with little supervisionOrganizational and planning skillsMust be able to work various shiftsCompensation Package:The hourly pay rate for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays.Your Workplace Location:Positioned in Slave Lake, Alberta, our team enjoys a prime location amidst the region’s tranquillity, just minutes away from the serene shores of Slave Lake itself.
