Process Technician – Sealant - Afternoon Shift Location: 13049 1400 South Service Road West, Oakville, Ontario, L6L 5Y7, CanadaDate Posted: 2025-11-14Country: CanadaPosition Role Type: Unspecified Shift Hours – Weekday Afternoon: Monday - Thursday (4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.) Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Process Technician – Sealant who will report to the shift Assembly Supervisor. The role involves preparing components before and after the paint process. What You Will Do Part loading, fixturing and unloading. Masking, sanding, cleaning and after paint demasking, cleaning, final paint touch-ups and ink stamping. Mix and apply sealant to bushings on detail components, flight controls, etc. Perform work from set‑up sheets, manufacturing sheets and drawings. Document actions in support of quality logs, communicate all discrepancies to supervision and create Product Defect Sheets (PDS) as required. Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell. Participate in cross‑functional training in related processes as required. Multi‑task in the cell and perform other duties as assigned, including TPM and machine checklist. Qualifications We Require High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing industry. Experience in material handling and/or crane/hoist operations. The selected candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP. Qualifications We Prefer Ability to lift and manipulate up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis. Sealant and/or painting experience. Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane safely. Verbal and written communication skills (English). Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment. Exceptional hand–eye coordination and ability to work neatly in tight or delicate areas without damaging adjacent surfaces. Strong attention to detail to ensure clean, consistent application of sealant materials.
