Systems Analyst – Job DescriptionDepartment: ITReports to: Director of ITPosition Summary:The Systems Analyst manages and maintains IT infrastructure across multiple Argus Properties sites in Kelowna, ensuring optimal network performance, system security, and reliable technology services. This hands-on technical role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively troubleshoot complex issues, implement solutions independently, and deliver excellent customer service to internal users.As a key member of our IT team, you will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills to support our growing portfolio of properties. The ideal candidate excels at prioritizing multiple tasks, solving problems efficiently, and maintaining professional relationships with staff and vendors.Job ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day operation and support of all information technology systems across multiple sitesMaintain, troubleshoot, repair and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipmentInstall, configure, and maintain network cabling infrastructure across all sitesManage and maintain Microsoft Server environments and virtual machine infrastructureAdminister Office 365 services including user management, email, SharePoint, and TeamsConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortinet security products including firewalls, switches, and access pointsEvaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applicationsMonitor the performance of computer systems and networks to coordinate access and optimize performanceDevelop and implement maintenance plans for software and automation related equipmentProvide technical support to computer users experiencing difficulties with hardware, applications, and communications softwareCommunicate electronically and in person with users to determine and document problems experiencedConsult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutionsProvide advice and training to users in response to identified difficultiesCollect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analystsInstall, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade network server hardware and softwareImplement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performanceEnsure security management of systems and dataPerform data backups and disaster recovery operationsConduct tests and perform security and quality controlsControl and monitor e-mail use, Web navigation, and installed softwareExperience with local and wide area networks, ability to implement network configurations, and work with network providers to diagnose and resolve problemsAdvise on the selection and evaluation of automated systems, electronic technology, software/hardwareUndertake special projects and other related duties as assignedParticipate in cross-functional committees as requiredQualificationsRequired:College diploma or degree in computer programming, network administration, or related fieldMinimum 5 years direct experience in IT systems administrationStrong knowledge and hands-on experience with network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber optic)Proven experience with Microsoft Server administration (2019/2022/2025)Expertise in virtual machine management (VMware or Hyper-V)Proficiency in Office 365 administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure ADStrong working knowledge of Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP)Security first mindset at all times.Strong work ethic; able to work productively with minimum supervision or collaboratively in a teamStrong organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsValid BC Driver's license and own vehicle (required for travel between sites)Ability to work Tuesday to Saturday scheduleAlways moving forward.Preferred: Microsoft server certification Fortinet NSE certification Office 365 certifications (MS-900, MS-100, MS-101) Experience in multi-site IT environments Knowledge of property management or hospitality industry systems Core Competencies Problem solving and analytical reasoning Customer service orientation Technical documentation skills Time management and prioritization Attention to detail Adaptability and continuous learning Team collaboration Performance Evaluation #J-18808-Ljbffr
