Position Overview As a Senior Data Engineer, you will drive the evolution of our business intelligence, data management, and operational solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers to build data pipelines, lakes and warehouses that underpin our growth and innovation. Responsibilities Familiarize yourself with current initiatives, teams, and workflows to integrate into ongoing projects. Master our technology architecture and gain deep understanding of systems and infrastructure. Align work with business operations structure, needs, and cycles. Kick‑off major projects with a new development team. Collaborate closely with data scientists to enable robust data engineering solutions. Work on data lake and data warehouse solutions, optimizing storage and retrieval. Develop inter‑departmental solutions to foster efficient data flow. Manage and prioritize tasks autonomously, shifting gears as needed. Continuously learn and excel beyond comfort zones. Maintain high quality standards for your work and that of teammates. Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends. Leverage experience in OLAP, AI, machine learning, and event sourcing as assets. Mentor and support junior data engineers. Help with technical architecture and project planning for complex data‑driven features. Qualifications 5–7+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering solutions. Proficiency in Python, R, C#, or equivalent languages. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Experience in conceptual, business, and analytical data modeling. Proficiency in Databricks, PySpark, and DBT. Experience with ingestion tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, and Airflow. Deep understanding of ETL pipelines. Commitment to best practices for data quality and integrity. Passion for Big Data, data mining, AI and machine learning. Curious mindset and strong problem‑solving skills. Collaboration with business stakeholders for data requirements.
