Instructor, Nursing Studies: IEN Bridging / RN Re-entry NBCC (New Brunswick Community College) Pay Information Base pay range: CA$33.85/hr - CA$52.08/hr. Position type: Term from January 2026 to December 2026 (Full time - 12 month Term). Location: Moncton and Fredericton (one position per location). Salary range: $33.85 to $47.70 per hour; eligible for a higher maximum step up to $52.08/hr based on level of post‑secondary education. Responsibilities You will collaborate with and report to the Academic Chair—Allied Health, School of Health and Wellness as part of the faculty team. Your responsibilities include: Plan and prepare instructional materials and resources. Establish and manage a positive learning environment. Instruct and evaluate students. Build and sustain professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders. Perform other related duties as required. Specific Instructional Areas Act as a nursing mentor providing clinical supervision and guidance to Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) completing 600 hours of employer‑led clinical practice in long‑term care facilities, as approved by NANB. Oversee cohorts of approximately 6‑8 students, ensuring adherence to NANB’s assessment rubric and supporting students in meeting competency requirements. Coordinate clinical and student schedules with partner nursing homes, managing schedules, monitoring progress, and evaluating performance. Provide on‑site supervision and limited off‑site preparation, with initial weeks dedicated to establishing logistics with facilities and students. Assist in the clinical preparation of candidates who will be writing the NCLEX national exam and applying for registration in New Brunswick. Qualifications Bachelor of Nursing with recent and related years of experience. Current registration and in good standing with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick, or eligibility for registration. Preference for candidates with a minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in acute care nursing. Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization. Physical ability to facilitate clinicals in client‑centered environments. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Professional Skills Maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Demonstrate problem‑solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking. Self‑motivated, service‑oriented, and results‑oriented. Work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Work independently and within a team. Desire for continuous learning and growth. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Possess a valid driver’s license as travel will be required. Preference for experience working in a post‑secondary environment. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
