You will be joining a team that values excellence, initiative, and balance while meeting deadlines as we scale.Who you areWe’re expanding quickly and seeking a Junior Accountant to support accounts payable and month-end close tasks. You’ll work with a team that values excellence and initiative and is passionate about Accounting & Finance.What you’ll work onManage the accounts payable inbox, scan invoices and statements, and all supporting documentation as necessaryManage electronic accounting documents, including invoices, receipt documentation, vendor banking information, vendor credit applications and other ad-hoc corporate documentsOwn the invoice approval process by coordinating with various departments to ensure all invoices are properly approvedCode invoices and employee expense reports to correct GL accounts in a timely and accurate mannerManage the creation and maintenance of vendor recordsReconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors and/or internal departments regarding discrepancies or issuesPrepare weekly payment runs, including cheque, wire, EFT, ACH, SEPA and BACs paymentsPerform semi-monthly credit card reconciliations with stakeholders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentationManage the prepaid expense scheduleIdentify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies and provide recommendations on potential cost-saving opportunitiesSupport other Finance team members with the month-end close and other ad-hoc projectsOther duties as requiredWhat you may haveExceptional attention to detailBachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance preferredCPA program completed or in progress preferredPrevious AP experience is an asset, but not necessaryA team player attitudeIntermediate proficiency with ExcelA passion for delivering accurate resultsDemonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AISerious bonus points if you have:Experience using software such as NetSuite is a plusWhat you will find hereCompensation is a key component of Clio’s Total Rewards Program.
