Clinical Trials Manager (Dr. Vic Parks Clinical Trials Manager) 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Location:Guelph, CA, N1G 2W1 Posting Date: 11/26/2025Close Date: 12/10/2025 General PurposeA core member the Bench to Bedside (B2B) Institute for Translational Health Research and Innovation, the Clinical Trials Manager will manage clinical trials conducted at the Ontario Veterinary College’s Health Sciences Centre (HSC). The position is generously funded by the family of Dr. Vic Parks. Duties And Responsibilities Reporting to OVC’s Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies, and working closely with the B2B Institute Co‑Directors, HSC management, clinicians and staff, third‑party organizations participating in trials, and animal owners. Managing the daily operations of multiple research projects ensuring efficiency in all aspects of the clinical trials, ensuring protocol adherence, adequate resourcing and delivery of project milestones. Providing leadership and supervision of team members on clinical trial projects to ensure compliance with study protocols and successful project completion. Managing clinical trial study setup including developing, executing and reporting on animal utilization protocols, supporting creation of material transfer agreements, licensing and regulatory paperwork, and liaising with the Office of Research. Providing critical support to principal investigators in conceptualizing, recommending and implementing research project plans and business plans. Assisting with grant reporting including budget development for clinical trials, overseeing financial management, and ensuring adherence to grant and contract guidelines. Helping in the development and facilitation of research partnerships, and scientific communication. Assisting with daily operational needs of B2B to ensure maintenance of equipment and care contracts, negotiating with vendors, and monitoring expenditures. Assisting with grant writing, development of abstracts, scientific presentations and manuscript preparation. Disseminating study results through various channels in conjunction with OVC Communications & Marketing team. Creating and teaching training modules for clinical trial stakeholders (e.g. animal use protocol preparation, budget preparation). Requirements Master’s degree (MSc preferred) in health or life sciences. Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a similar role designing and managing research projects. Strong background in managing and overseeing clinical research studies. Deep understanding of the regulatory requirements and procedures governing clinical trials and excellent project management skills. Exceptional leadership abilities, effective communication skills and keen attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross‑functional teams, ensuring trials are conducted ethically, efficiently and in compliance with all relevant protocols and regulations. Team‑player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form strong professional relationships with clinicians, staff, third‑party organizations, animal owners and university partners and regulators. Committed to upholding rules and protocols with unwavering dedication and exemplary time‑management skills. Comprehensive understanding of clinical and laboratory equipment, coupled with hands‑on experience operating a diverse range of specialized tools. Knowledge of veterinary referral hospital systems, animal behavior, care and use of research animals, laboratory biosafety standards and animal care regulations (university and provincial). Advanced skills in data analysis and expert use of business productivity applications. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.
