Construction Superintendent

Overview Are you an experienced Site Superintendent looking to take the next step? Agilus is recruiting for a Construction Superintendent in the Construction Industry in Burnaby, British Columbia. Our client, a full-service construction partner with a variety of projects including ICI, civic & green buildings, is looking for a Construction Superintendent. You will oversee the entire construction process on site. You are responsible for creating and monitoring project momentum, scheduling, quality control, safety and delegating work to the project team and sub-contractors. You will be an essential part of the project team and a dynamic leader who can manage people just as effectively as construction activities. The Construction Superintendent reports directly to the General Superintendent. Responsibilities Advise project team of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties, while assisting in resolving conflicts Maintain solid documentation, complete daily site reports, POs, project photos and manage all required municipal and provincial inspections Review the budget and the underlying estimate to understand the project, and plan ahead to avoid costly issues and project delays Effectively monitor expenditures, review invoices in detail, and manage labour and material costs Prepare and maintain construction schedules, identify and solve potential scheduling problems, and advise Project Manager of any deviations or potential deviations from the overall schedule or critical path; order materials and equipment, and request sufficient manpower throughout the project to maintain schedule and productivity Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel on site, monitor safety performance, and oversee the Site HSE Coordinator Supervise and develop site team members through regular feedback, training, coaching and lead project meetings with internal and external parties Review documents and drawings for accuracy and constructability. Review and enforce sub-contractor contracts and identify discrepancies in scopes of work Qualifications 10+ years of construction supervision experience Trade background with progressive experience in General Contracting Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, people management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration Experience managing projects of $100M+ Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary, plus potential bonus & profit sharing Matching RRSP Extended benefits, Employee Assistance Program, life insurance, AD&D, LTD, CI 3 weeks of paid vacation Professional development support Lunch provided once per month and occasional company-wide social events How to apply Interested?
