They are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their Real Estate Debt team. This person can be a new grad with an Accounting and Finance degree or someone with up to 2 years experience.The Role:Record and verify the completeness and accuracy of daily investment transactions and related activities.Perform monthly close procedures, including bank reconciliations, preparation of month-end accruals, amortizations, and other required adjustments.Prepare monthly subledger and general ledger reconciliations and supporting working papers.Reconcile units, holdings, and transactions for pooled funds and segregated portfolios at month-end.Execute valuation entries and foreign exchange roll-ups for pooled funds and stopper entities.Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including disclosures and working paper files, in accordance with applicable policies and reporting standards.The Candidate:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Actively pursuing, or planning to pursue, a CPA designation.0–2 years of accounting experience; financial reporting experience considered an asset.Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical-thinking abilities.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a demonstrated willingness to learn.Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS reporting standards.Experience or familiarity with investment accounting and/or mortgage investments is an asset.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
