Our leading financial client in Toronto is looking for a talented Interaction Designer to join their teamInteraction designers shape the experiences we create through each of our digital products. You’ll work within an agile environment and iterative process, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders to analyze, design and convey your design vision. Join us in our mission to make a positive impact and drive meaningful change.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand user interface patterns and behaviors, and use that understanding to drive user comprehension and improve task performanceUse visualizations and interactions to support analytic thinking with large data setsFacilitate design critique, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert advice and guidance to cross-functional teamsFacilitate ideation sessions and collaborative work activitiesAct as the interaction design subject-matter expert for the product design teamUse a comprehensive understanding of interaction design theory, research data, and best practices to inform design decisionsDesign complex artifacts to communicate task flows, touchpoints, behaviors, and information exchangeCreate low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideasDevelop complex prototypes to provide delivery specifications for developmentPresent interaction design work to senior stakeholdersResearch and testingFacilitate usability testingParticipate in or initiate research activitiesPerform competitive audits and pattern/micro-interaction/component design audits relevant to the projectExperience & QualificationsBA/BS degree in Design, HCI, CS, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceMinimum 5 years of experience designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platformsExperience in applied research, integrating user research into product designAbility to articulate design strategies, rationale, and risksProficiency with tools like Figma, Mural, UserTesting.comIdeal CandidateMA/MS degree or certification in a related design or technical fieldStrong understanding of research methods and their application during product developmentAppreciation for 'design thinking'Experience working in large organizations and agile environmentsThe target hiring compensation range for this role is C$53.75 to C$63.75 per hour.
