Respiratory Therapist Health PEI, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada Job Summary: The Respiratory Therapist delivers respiratory therapy services to inpatients, ambulatory/outpatient, and emergency room patients, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical investigation of clients with respiratory disease and related disorders. Successful candidates will also benefit from an Allied Health Services Incentive of up to $10,000 upon successful hiring. Base pay range CA$37.59/hr - CA$46.12/hr Duties Maintaining mechanical ventilation and client transport duties Providing general respiratory therapeutic duties Evaluating client respiratory care plans Performing various diagnostic procedures related to respiratory therapy Providing technical support for respiratory equipment Educating clients and staff on respiratory equipment and management of respiratory diseases Drafting correspondence, reports, and maintaining professional records Accessing respiratory status to treat patients appropriately and make recommendations to physicians Performing other duties as required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy with acute care experience preferred Experience in ICU and/or Neonatal care considered an asset Licensed or eligible for licensing with the College of Allied Health Professionals of Prince Edward Island Demonstrated program planning skills and excellent communication and organizational skills Clear attendance record and professional conduct Other Qualifications Additional relevant education and experience will be considered an asset Expected hours: 37.5 per week Relocation Assistance Available Allied Health Incentive details: https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/news/allied-health-professionals-eligible-for-recruitment-incentive Seniority level: Not Applicable Employment type: Full-time Job function: Health Care Provider Industries: Hospitals and Health Care Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Health PEI by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
