Join St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto as an rTMS Technician Mental Health Outpatient to administer outpatient rTMS treatments, monitor patients, and provide high-quality, client‑centered care to adults with treatment‑resistant mental disorders. Job Responsibilities Administer rTMS treatments, monitor patient outcomes during treatment, and complete clinical documentation: build rapport and trust with patients; explain the rTMS procedure; answer questions; administer the therapy as per physician's orders. Participate in quality improvement and research: attend monthly interventional psychiatry program operations meetings; collaborate with the team to create and refine standard operating procedures for the new rTMS program. Collaborate with interprofessional teams: communicate with the interventional psychiatry administrative assistant and brain stimulation psychiatrist by phone, email, or in person regarding booking appointments, managing no‑shows, and discussing prescribed treatments and client outcomes. Process new referrals: review all new outpatient rTMS referrals with the physician assistant; elevate any issues to the brain stimulation psychiatrist or physician assistant for resolution. Ensure supplies and equipment are available and rooms are prepared: verify that coils and other rTMS supplies are stocked; work with the administrative assistant to order additional supplies as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a health‑related field (e.g., health care administration, addictions, or mental health). Willingness to complete Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation training and obtain certification. Minimum one year of recent experience working in a mental health setting. Experience with patients suffering from anxiety and depression (preferred). Excellent ability to assist patients in completing psychiatric rating scales. Strong knowledge of related community resources (preferred). Valid Basic Life Support and First Aid certification (required). ACLS certification is an asset. Experience with clinical interviewing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to guide and reassure patients. Capacity to work under supervision and collaborate with mental health professionals. Ability to manage a heavy workload with multiple priorities. Advanced assurance of patient safety and comfort while responding to questions. Proficiency in electronic health recordkeeping and operating clinical equipment.
