Emergency Physician - Surrey Memorial Hospital Join to apply for the Emergency Physician - Surrey Memorial Hospital role at Fraser Health Authority. Job Summary The Emergency Department at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) is seeking 10 part‑time and/or full‑time Emergency Physicians to join our group. Our group consists of new graduates and highly experienced physicians, with both CCFP (EM) and FRCPC (EM) training. We are a well‑supported, close‑knit team that maintains strong relationships with consultants and fosters a supportive environment through social gatherings. Serving the busiest emergency department in Western Canada, we focus on department flow to maximise efficiency and prioritise patient safety, despite a high volume of daily visits. Our schedule is flexible and accommodates maternity/paternity leave and vacations, and offers opportunities for research, leadership, and teaching. On shift, you may work with medical students, junior residents, or emergency medicine residents. Our CCFP (EM) program is growing, and we actively promote diversity in hiring through EDI principles. Located about 35‑45 minutes outside Vancouver, SMH offers a diverse multicultural community and outdoor exposure.
