The Analyst offers advice to executive management and engages in principled decision-making with respect to substantive issues pursuant to the Police Act process. Analysts are assigned matters involving a broad range of complex issues which require the application of relevant legislation, an understanding of police operations, and a thorough understanding of the police complaint process. Analysts possess effective communication skills both in writing and in verbal briefings. This posting is for two (2) or more permanent full-time positions. An eligibility list for future temporary or permanent opportunities may be established. Temporary positions may become full or part-time, permanent status. This position is excluded from union membership. Travel may be required as part of job duties. The OPCC has offices in Victoria and Vancouver, and successful candidates will be required to attend the workplace on a regular basis. Financial assistance may be offered as part of the total compensation package for successful candidate(s) that must relocate to Victoria/Vancouver.
