Copywriter and Communications Coordinator - GAiNFull-timeTitle: Copywriter & Communications CoordinatorMinistry: Global Aid Network (GAiN)Location: National Resource Center (Abbotsford) - hybridReports to: Marketing, Communications and Development DirectorPosition type: Permanent Full time ($23)Organization OverviewPower to Change is a non-profit movement that invites others on a mission to help others to know Jesus and experience His power to change the world.Ministry OverviewGlobal Aid Network Canada (GAiN) is a worldwide humanitarian relief and development organization dedicated to relieving suffering, restoring dignity, and revealing hope to people living in some of the toughest places on earth.GAiN’s passion is to ease the challenging living situations that people experience in everyday life in developing countries by providing them with the tools and resources they require.GAiN aspires to not only bring tangible humanitarian aid to people living in difficult situations, but to also see them come to faith in Jesus Christ and share it with others.Position OverviewThe Copywriter & Communications Coordinator will have a heart for compassionate activity and humanitarian work.This role will add capacity to GAiN’s marketing and communications and the Donor Advancement (DA) Team by working on various projects and tasks necessary to fulfill organizational goals and objectives.Primary Outcomes:This role will be held accountable to achieve the following outcomes:Research & Content Creation: Donors and partners will be up to date and informed with fresh content on the ministry of GAiNResearch & Content Creation: Monthly e-newsletters for core strategies are created and distributed, and contact lists are maintained and updatedResearch & Content Creation: Content is generated and written for quarterly partnership reports, weekly GAiN blog posts, disaster communications, annual reports, external publications, ebooks and whitepapers, media releases, etc.Research & Content Creation: Printed marketing materials are maintained with current information and photosResearch & Content Creation: Regular stories are curated and added to the GAiN story bankResearch & Content Creation: Download photos from mWater and organize in folders on p-drive for future publicationsResearch & Content Creation: Staff and LIFE Team participants are interviewed after traveling to the fieldResearch & Content Creation: Consistent messaging is monitored in order to ensure voice is clearly communicatedResearch & Content Creation: Edit or review other pieces as necessaryResearch & Content Creation: Weekly Prayer Emails are sent outResearch & Content Creation: Research and write grant proposals as needed and directed by supervisorWebsite Content Management: GAiN is maintained with up-to-date information, new country pages, water wells, statistics, stories and picturesWebsite Content Management: Chat messages are replied toWebsite Content Management: Comments from blog posts are monitoredSocial Media: Contribute to Editorial Calendar -
