Freelance Motion Graphic & Visual Designer (Retail/Ecommerce) Join to apply for the Freelance Motion Graphic & Visual Designer (Retail/Ecommerce) role at Aquent. Base pay range CA$22.00/hr - CA$25.00/hr We are seeking authorized remote candidates in Alberta or Ontario, Canada. About The Role We’re looking for a Freelance Motion Graphic & Visual Designer to join our client’s Digital Creative Team. This role focuses on creating eye-catching motion graphics, video ads, and static digital designs that engage online audiences and support weekly retail promotions. You’ll collaborate with our internal designers, marketing, and production teams to bring creative concepts to life—delivering high-quality digital content that stays true to brand standards and performs across multiple platforms. What You’ll Do Design and animate motion graphics and short‑form video ads for digital and social platforms. Create static design assets, including display ads, digital banners, and promotional graphics. Support weekly online ad (OLA) campaigns, producing both motion and static deliverables (30–120 assets per week, depending on campaign volume). Edit and assemble media assets into polished, ready‑to‑publish content. Collaborate with designers, producers, and marketing partners to ensure brand consistency and creative quality. Stay current with motion design, layout, and retail advertising trends. What You’ll Bring 4+ years of experience in graphic and motion design, ideally within retail, eCommerce, or marketing agency settings. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy. Ability to design effectively for both digital and print media. Experience balancing high‑volume production deadlines while maintaining design quality. Collaborative, detail‑oriented, and organized—comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. A portfolio showcasing both static and motion work (required). Bonus: Experience in Figma, Adobe XD, 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender), or AI‑assisted creative tools.
