Community Occupational Therapist – East Kootenay Hourly Rate: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour This part‑time role opportunity offers you the chance to practice within a large scope through collaboration and teamwork, responsible for evaluating and supporting clients in a holistic manner to achieve optimal quality of life. Day‑to‑day activities vary from serving clients in the community, in clinic, networking and collaborating within the larger health care community and with the funder, completing reports, and solving problems/overcoming barriers to achieving the Care Goals. What You’ll Do Work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent client outcomes Provide assessment and treatment to a wide variety of clients with varying needs, including those with complex needs Provide impartial home, safety/attendant care assessments, ergonomic assessments, driving assessments, adaptive equipment assessments, client education, and clinic‑based assessment/treatment Coordinate care with the client, family, CBI Care Team, funder and involved health care providers Work closely with the team and other resources to develop new programs to meet identified client needs Network with internal and external stakeholders to promote new and existing programs Perform regular, timely charting, reporting and communication Record workload measurement data Attend staff meetings and case conference meetings, as required Provide professional services to other CBI facilities or departments, as required Qualifications Graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy Registered member in good standing with College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) Passionate about the profession and committed to ongoing professional development Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with willingness to travel to rural sites New graduates are welcome to apply Benefits Opportunity to build your business as an Independent Contractor with referrals from our team Competitive compensation Excellent administrative support, so you can focus on your clients Flexible hours, which allow work‑life balance and focus on quality of life About CBI Health CBI Health is Canada’s leading community healthcare provider, reliably delivering innovative rehabilitation and home care programs that help our clients achieve their health goals.
