Project Coordinator - Raising Their Voices (RTV) Apply Now Job Type Full Time (Temporary) About the Role New North SANC Services Inc is seeking the services of an experienced Project Coordinator to assist in the recovery of the negative impacts of the Covid 19 Pandemic by increasing the voice and authority of Indigenous women and marginalized voices in northern municipalities in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work from a Northern Saskatchewan community, and be expected to provide excellent project development and enhanced communication skills, while coordinating workshop, sharing circles, networking and coalition opportunities. The Raising their Voices Coordinator, will be supervised by the Program Manager and shall undertake activities in collaborative respectful manner with other project staff. Requirements In collaboration with other RTV coordinators assist by: Developing a full knowledge of the range of activities, services and supports available to northern Indigenous women and other marginalized voices Coordinate RTV women circles that identify interest and issues areas as well as peer support, sharing and learning opportunities Identify, connect, strengthen networks and coalitions among women groups and RTV Collaborate in the creation of regional coalitions to mobilize greater political participation in northern municipal regional and provincial governments Develop collaborative engaging regional project outreach activities and provide input on workshops concepts that address projects objectives Coordinate online and in person workshops Identify systemic barriers and gather input on ways to advance inclusive and adopt inclusive and more equitable best practices and policies Undertake other duties as directed Skills sets Effectively utilize electronic formats for communication and promotion Skilled at writing, reporting and facilitating Comfortable working in fast pace working environments Ability to work in flexible manner in accordance to project details Skilled in working alone and collaboratively with diverse groups Skilled in Zoom, Microsoft, social media, zoom, slack etc. platforms Experienced in general office procedures, effective communication, reporting, and project coordination Ability to travel Timesheets and Reporting will be required Education requirements Postsecondary degree or equivalent in experience and knowledge maybe considered Assets Knowledge of northern Indigenous women’s ways of knowing, culture and language Knowledge and or experience in municipal government and politics About the Company New North is a non-profit association that assists in advocating on behalf of 35 Northern Communities within the Northern Saskatchewan Administrative District (NSAD). Originally founded in the city of Prince Albert on October 18, 1996 at one of its founding gatherings, New North is located in the tri-community of Air Ronge. To maintain accountability and ensure equality within the membership, New North has an Executive Board that is made up of 5 Mayors and/or Councilors from its 35 member communities.
