OverviewHours of Work: Full-Time (35-40 hours per week)Location: Whitehorse, Yukon - Relocation assistance availableWage: $43.63 or commiserate with experienceBenefitsPhenomenal local and international flight benefits for you and your familyExtra travel benefits such as hotels and cruisesGroup RRSP investment optionsVehicle and home heating fuel discounts through Chieftain Energy for you and your familyRole SummaryThe individual is responsible for the maintenance of Air North, Yukon’s Airline’s (the “Company”) aircraft and aircraft equipment in a safe and effective manner including: servicing, inspecting, repairing and monitoring of aircraft to ensure airworthiness standards are met.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications to aircraft using approved tools, materials and manualsPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasksTroubleshoot and rectify aircraft system defectsEnsure the Company’s safety standards are adhered to at all timesEnsure work accomplished is correctly documented and recordedVerify parts installed onto the aircraft are properly certified, prior to installationOversee the work of apprentices and providing training/guidance in order for them to become AME’sMust havesValid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M2 rated LicenseMinimum of 2 years related experienceA minimum of 6 months experience within the last 24 months working on M1 & M2 aircraft of which 3 months is working on M2 aircraftRequired to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communitiesEnthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes supportMust be a legally entitled to work in CanadaNice to haveTC approved endorsements on aircrafts operated by the Company: B737 Classic, Next Generations aircraft and ATR 42-300/320 an assetReady to join us?Submit your resume and cover letter explaining why you are an ideal fit for the roleIf selected, we\'ll reach out within 10 days for a brief introductory callSuccessful candidates will then proceed to an interview with our Recruiter and Hiring ManagerWe aim to make final decisions within 14 days of the initial callAt Air North, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace.
