The Cambridge facility (108,000 sq. ft.) is Héroux-Devtek’s center of excellence for machining of B-777 large size landing gear components.What we offerLeaders who invest in your success and developmentCompetitive salaries linked to performanceA comprehensive group insurance plan including a health spending account and a very competitive pension planSupport for the payment of contributions to the professional order or relevant certifications & trainingsFunding for additional technical, linguistic, and behavioral training relevant to the role and developmentFree access to a virtual doctor and the employee assistance program (24/7)Social activities for all employees (BBQ, Golf, Christmas parties, etc.)Generous referral bonuses and advantageous recognition programsResponsibilitiesMaintaining and repairing (or arranging for the repair of shop floor machines).Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of machine breakdowns.Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations.Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines.Follow up with contractors/suppliers to ensure parts are ordered and received on a timely basis.Prioritizing work schedule to ensure minimal disruption to production.Maintaining and repairing physical plant structure.Health and Safety enhancements to the machines and plant.5-S activities including health & safety awareness/initiatives.Adherence to all Company policies and procedures.Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.Performing other related duties as assigned.Qualifications (Our ideal candidate)Minimum Grade 12 diploma and Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright.Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright, with experience maintaining and repairing CNC and conventional machinery.Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment.Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to wear the required PPE.Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGRP directives.Own tools/equipment: steel-toed safety boots and tools as required.Ability to perform tasks that require a high degree of accuracy and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills to work in a diverse environment.Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines; good time management.Ability to work in a team environment.Availability to work between Kitchener and Cambridge sites when needed.Work culture and environmentHéroux-Devtek offers a friendly environment where skills development is a top priority.
