Position SummaryAs a Scrum Master, you will report directly to the Manager, IT Applications. You will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within our organization, ensuring the team can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions. Working closely with the product development team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to the team – helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently, including the development and implementation of process, guiding principles, delivery standards, and artefacts. Role Objectives:Facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes.Guide and coach the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices.Ensure the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products.Work with the Product Owner to prioritize the product backlog. Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress.Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions.Communicate project status, risks and issues to the IT Manager and stakeholders.Facilitate stakeholder collaboration and transparency.Track KPIs and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time.Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles. QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.Experience:5+ years of progressive experience as a Scrum Master with demonstrated abilities in delivering large technology and business initiatives.Skills: Certifications:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to lead and facilitate scrum ceremonies.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Basic understanding of Software Development, version control (Git) and CI/CDCertification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus.Computer Skills:Jira, Miro, MondayLanguage Skills:English, Bilingualism considered an asset. AccountabilitiesValues and Ethics:Professional, open, honest, diverse soft skills. Engagement:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Encourages collaboration and quickly finds common ground.
