Our Business Law group provides legal advice with respect to corporate reorganizations, private mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and commercial matters and corporate finance.What You Will DoPerform a variety of complex and routine legal and administrative duties while coordinating and assisting lawyers and senior paralegals in other KPMG offices with assigned matters.Drafting corporate documents for incorporations, amending articles of incorporation, preparing annual returns, drafting resolutions for dividends, dissolutions, and amalgamations.Drafting closing agendas, share provisions, supporting resolutions and editing agreements for corporate reorganizations.Reviewing corporate records and maintaining records on corporate database, shareholder ledgers and registers, preparing appropriate rectification steps when required.Drafting documents to create partnerships and limited partnerships, organizations, rollovers, changes in records and maintaining records.What You Bring To The RoleA minimum of 8 years of corporate law experienceCompletion of CORES Level I, Level II and Level IIIStrong organizational skills and attention to detailDecisiveness and the ability to balance the demands of an emerging practiceExcellent communication skillsStrong MS Office skillsOur Values, The KPMG WayIntegrity, we do what is right | Excellence, we never stop learning and improving | Courage, we think and act boldly | Together, we respect each other and draw strength from our differences | For Better, we do what mattersKPMG in Canada is a proud equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive and barrier-free workplace that allows all of our people to reach their full potential.
