We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Technical Stakeholder Relations. The candidate may be based in one of our three offices: Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa. The Role We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Advisor to oversee and track technical requirements definition with third‑party stakeholders for a major infrastructure project. Reporting to the Director, Special Projects, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with municipalities and technical stakeholders on large‑scale projects, strong technical, relationship and commercial skills, and the ability to ensure efficient, risk‑conscious, and collaborative delivery. The Responsibilities Understand and work towards the integration of technical and business requirements of the different companies or municipalities within the project framework. Support engagement plans with third‑party technical stakeholders within the corridor (Municipalities, Hydro Quebec, Hydro One, Ontario Power Generation, etc.), including negotiating ancillary agreements. Organize and facilitate workshops and design sessions with stakeholders and the engineering team to identify and incorporate third‑party requirements into project deliverables. Act as liaison between external stakeholders and the Private Development Partner regarding technical interfaces, oversee the production of technical deliverables, and represent and advocate for the technical team in various working groups. Lead a multi‑disciplinary team of peers and advisors to deliver technical engagement plans. Identify, document and track stakeholder interface points between the railway project and external systems or assets and provide reporting to the Rail Engineering and Infrastructure Governance Table. Collaborate with the Project Management Office for risk identification, establishment of budgets, and schedule tracking for all third‑party activities. Advance other engineering‑related tasks as assigned. The Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a railway/technical related field. Minimum 7+ years experience working for or with municipalities and technical stakeholders in Canada. Valid Canadian Professional Engineer’s (PE) license or equivalent certification (Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec is an asset). Strong knowledge of technical and commercial principles for railways in major infrastructure projects. Understanding of railway engineering concepts and project management. Experience with public‑private partnerships and collaboration with government agencies an asset. Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills. Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences. Proficiency in both of Canada’s official languages. Proven problem‑solving, decision‑making, and continuous improvement mindset. Effective at leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
