Responsibilities The Manager, Patient Care Services is responsible for the management, leadership and coordination of services for the areas within the assigned portfolio. This includes the management of staff and resources and the provision of leadership and consultative advice in clinical care, operational and administrative activities of the service(s); ensuring that services are delivered and implemented in an effective and efficient manner and meet established strategic directions, organizational initiatives and objectives aligned with the organization’s culture, values and strategic direction. Salary Starting salary will be approximately from $129,557 to $159,875 and will be based on education, training, experience, reporting structure and salaries of similar positions. Dawson Creek & District Hospital Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a Full‑Service Community Hospital that provides services to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 Acute Care Beds and 15 Regional Adult Psychiatric Beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical Centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include: Emergency ICU Day Surgery Respiratory Therapy Primary Care Acute Care Diagnostic Imaging Laboratory Visiting Specialists Urology Dermatology Pediatrics Obstetrics and Gynecology Construction is underway on the new Dawson Creek & District Hospital, anticipated to open in Spring 2027. This state‑of‑the‑art facility will be over 50 % bigger than the current hospital and will feature 70 beds, modern patient care spaces, and expanded and enhanced services to meet the growing needs of the community. About the Community Dawson Creek, known as the Mile Zero City, is located at the start of the Alaska Highway. With a population of approximately 12,500, the city serves a larger population of the Peace River Region (≈ 60,000). It offers excellent education resources and a vibrant northern community.
