OverviewSenior ETL Developer – IBM DataStage & UnixResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement ETL solutionsDesign and build DataStage jobs to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target data warehouses or data martsData Warehousing and Data Integration: focus on data warehousing and data integration projects, ensuring data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analyticsPerformance Tuning: optimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processingSDLC and Agile Methodologies: participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworksCollaboration: work with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutionsProduction Support: may be involved in providing support for existing DataStage jobs in production, including troubleshooting and resolving issuesQualifications and SkillsIBM Infosphere DataStage: strong proficiency in using DataStage for ETL developmentSQL and Databases: solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like OracleETL Concepts: deep understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration best practicesUNIX/Linux: experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, including scripting (e.g., Unix Shell Scripting)Data Modelling: familiarity with data modelling concepts and techniquesAgile and DevOps: experience working in agile environments and potentially with DevOps practicesAdditional Technical Skills: 8+ years of strong design, development experience using C#, .NET Core, Web API, Angular/React, ASP.NET, MVC; 3+ years with SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase, complex procedures and SSIS; experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins); familiarity with container-based technologies is a plusNice to have: cloud platforms, big-data technologies, Linux/Windows application setup, APAC Regulatory Reporting experienceExp Required: 8-10 yearsSeniorityMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesInformation ServicesGet notified about new Senior ETL Developer jobs in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. #J-18808-Ljbffr
