The position is a combination of coordinator and producer tasks for those venturing into a producer position.They will have previous coordination and production management experience and a deep understanding of the VFX pipeline. They are able to handle a high pace / high-volume environment with tight deadlines.ResponsibilitiesSchedule preliminary resources and ensure sufficient artists are booked and alert Producer of resource deficienciesEnsure on-set Supervisor has all art department files for upcoming episodesWork with Producer to manage the look development and asset creationOrganize all concept art and files and distribute accordinglyOrganize requests for onset references and HDRI with Supervisor and On Set SupervisorsWork with the Producer to update the Resource Manager weekly with resource requirementsPrimary responsibility is to ensure client and internal deliveries are met each daySchedule meetings including concept, production, and spotting sessionsUpdate Shotgun with bid hours and schedule as requiredUpdate budget breakdowns and assignments dailyWork with Producer and Leads to establish “battle plan” for each episode and coordinate resourcesKeep Resource Manager updated with resource schedule revisions and needsCommunicate with coordinators to maintain up-to-date information on what each artist is doing at all times. Follow up on tasks and assignments throughout the day as neededCoordinate and prioritize reviews with Creative Director and/or VFX SupervisorAssist with note-taking. Make sure notes are distributed properly and entered into ShotgunEnsure Actuals and Projections are updated dailyFlag any major issues to Producer and/or HOPManage and oversee coordinators including making sure they are posting accurate shot versions and caveatsEnsure new artists are accustomed to show including pipeline and time billingWork with coordinators to ensure proper files and shot versions are deleted, reference sheets and overcuts are updated for vaultOther production-related duties and reasonable duties as assignedLeadership and performance management of artists as neededQualificationsProduction experience with Shotgrid (formerly Shotgun)Experience with Excel and Microsoft OfficeOrganized and highly detail-orientedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExpert relationship building and client management skillsUnderstanding of 3D/2D VFX pipelinesThrives in a fast-paced, creative environmentEditing experience is a plusCinesync or similar dailies session experienceProject management experienceArtist management experienceBudget and script breakdown experience a plusAdditional InformationBritish Columbia Senior Employees Pay Range: $35 - $45 (The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position)Candidates MUST be located in British Columbia, Canada.
