Job Title : Sr. Project Controls Specialist (Bowmanville, ON)Job ID : 82273Location : Bowmanville, OntarioWhat you will be doing :Participate in developing, establishing, and maintaining the company’s project cost / control systemsParticipate in proposal and estimating effortsto ensure continuity between project estimates and baselinesDevelop & maintain a detailed, resource-loaded schedule in P6Assist the project team inconverting project bids to setting up the complete, accurate project baseline (budget, schedule),in the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (SAP, P6)Set up project controls systems (cost codes, project rules of credit) in SAP’Review the project contract and ensure that all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, project tracking and reporting, and project closeoutMonitor the project performance and ensure that all the project control system is properly implemented; responsible for detailed review & analysis of earned value and other key performance indicesGenerate all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance reportAdminister & support change management for assigned projects, in compliance with contract conditions(subcontractor claims, change requests, dispute resolution, etc.)Review and analyze the cost & schedule reports with the project team,and suggest corrective actions to maintain reasonable performance / productivity; provide timely feedback to project managers with regards to activities trending awayfrom the baseline or forecastPrepare and update project cash flows and forecastSupervise and mentor junior Project Control SpecialistParticipate in customer and internal management project status reporting meetingsAs required, produce custom reports from SAP / P6per request of customer or internal managementProvide input on an ongoing basis for improvements / modifications to Aecon’s project controls policy & guidelinesWhat you must have :5 – 7 years of Project Controls experienceCollege and / or University degree in related field, OR applicable work experienceApplied knowledge of the “Earned Value” principles.Applied knowledge of Project Management and Project Controls principles, including experience with concepts of PMBOKIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Primavera P6Ability to produce read and manipulate schedules and scheduling curves / reportsApplied knowledge of cost engineering / cost controlAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel & VisioOrganizational skills in order to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environmentInterpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employeesWillingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledgeDetail oriented and customer focusedSalary / Rate Range : $100,000 – $110,000Thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
