Job Description Adjudicate contested and complex accident, life, critical illness, cancer, and sickness disability claims. Approve, deny, or request further information from claimants, doctors, or hospitals to assess claimant’s eligibility for benefits. Interpret and administer policy provisions, including eligibility, definition of total disability, and pre‑existing investigations. Review and make decisions for policy rescission after discussion with underwriting. Refer files for special investigation if required. Qualifications University graduate. Bilingual (Fluent in French and English). Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with customers. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic mathematical proficiency and comfort with numerical data. Ability to make informed decisions and exercise sound judgment. Completion of insurance courses such as LOMA or HIAA is a bonus, but not mandatory. Must demonstrate customer centricity with empathy and expertise. Strong knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
