Senior Quality Assurance Consultant

Number of Positions: 1 | Duration: 12 months initial contract Location: Toronto, ON, CA Must be eligible to work in Canada Roles and Responsibilities Support parallel projects in a fast-paced working environment; must be able to work independently. Responsible for development and execution of testing strategies utilizing various software deliverable methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Work with Development and other internal teams to help troubleshoot and resolve issues, identify risks, and ensure defects are resolved; ensures adherence to defined testing quality standards. Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Leads test planning, usually at a team level. When part of a Scrum team, ensures stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria. Implements the test framework for the team. Leads test case reviews and works with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage. Identifies automation opportunities and develops test automation for applicable test types. Helps condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Expert in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Designs test data and ensures data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results. Reports issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for review. Traces tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements. Uses testing tools and follows processes to complete testing on a given test environment, and assists with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments. Maintains and catalogs test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.) Must have skills/experience/qualifications 10+ years of hands-on testing experience in Automation testing and development 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and analyzing automated test scripts Executing automation scripts, preparing execution reports and defect logs Expert knowledge of creating project deliverables including automation test plans, automation estimation, test reports and automation dashboards Using Selenium Web and API Testing, Banking SME, Selenium/Cucumber, Testing Process and Tools (ALM and JIRA) Preference for hands‑on experience using Cucumber and BDD processes creating Feature Files and Step Definitions Command over SQL Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting, Financial Services, and Banking Get notified about new Quality Assurance Consultant jobs in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. #J-18808-Ljbffr
