The Senior HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to Ross Video managers and staff, with a particular focus on a specific business unit or units within the organization. The role is critical in executing our talent initiatives, providing great internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

  • Understand business goals and work to ensure the effective execution of HR programs, processes, policies, communications, and strategic initiatives to meet business objectives.
  • Support the resolution of complex employee relations issues, partnering with legal and compliance teams as necessary.
  • Provide HR insights to help influence & drive HR programs and strategic priorities in assigned client groups, including workforce planning, organizational design and talent management, manager and employee development, strategic succession planning, and role of the leader.
  • Guide and support leaders through organizational changes, ensuring effective communication and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, coaching leaders to foster increased employee engagement, inclusion and organization performance.
  • Mentor more junior HR team members, as appropriate.

Who you are:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline, and/or equivalent work experience in an HR team.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive HR Business Partner or HR Advisor experience, preferably in a high-tech environment; li>
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding in the management of all aspects of HR functions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization, including Senior Management.
  • Considerable problem-solving and analytical skills to anticipate and navigate talent related business challenges.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS-Office package and general computer software; familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce an asset.
  • Some knowledge of employment law, within and outside of Canada would be an asset.

Ross Video enjoys a hybrid work environment. This position ideally requires on-site presence in our Ottawa office one to two days per week, with working from home possible for the remaining days. p>
