Their clients range in industries as diverse as Financial Services, Telecom, Oil & Gas, Technology and Managed Services.Quality Assurance Specialist-AgileDepartment: Engineering (QA)Level: JUNIOR/INTERMEDIATELocation: Richmond Hill / Toronto, ONQA Consultants within our client’s company are responsible for ensuring that their customers receive the best possible quality of software, by testing our client’s 'leading edge' software.Below are the duties and responsibilities but may be changed in accordance with the needs of our client. This is not intended to be an exhaustive or exclusive list of duties. You may be required to carry out any other associated tasks to ensure the successful delivery of our client’s objectives.Quality Assurance Consultants are responsible for:Test coverage of product areasQuality and test report of features in their area/s of expertiseMaintaining the team's portion of project schedule as well as track the progress of testing for the projectWriting and executing functional, regression, and performance test scripts, test cases and test reportsReviewing software for adherence to specificationsCollaborating with product development teams to resolve defect reports and enhancement requestsReviewing technical documentation for accuracyContribute to the definition and creation of necessary test tools and test environmentsTraining new staffMinimum Requirements:2+ years of software QA experienceExcellent written, interpersonal and verbal English communication skillsUnderstanding of agile software development processes and SDLC in generalStrong manual testing skills, planning, designing, and writing test cases, using test management and issue tracking toolsExperience testing Enterprise Software Solutions, commercial product release packaging and testingExperience using MS SQL Server and Oracle.Good working knowledge of MS Word and MS ExcelNice to Have:Experience using and creating Test automation toolsKnowledge in one or more scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, and Unix shell scriptingKnowledge in virtual environments specifically VMWareWindows, and/or UNIX (including Solaris, AIX, HP-UX and Linux) experienceA B.S or M.S in Computer Science or vast IT background is strongly preferredPersonal Attributes:Ability to work under pressure and manage own time, self-motivated, with a high level of self-disciplineEnjoys working independently as well as in team environment.
