If you’re dependable, safety-driven, and ready for steady, long-term growth—this opportunity is built for you.Location - Etobicoke, ONSalary - $40-$43/hrAdvantagesHighly competitive wages plus comprehensive medical & dental benefits.Pension plan, stock option program, and generous time‑off policy.Career growth supported by internal & external training, coaching, and development pathways.Join a major industry leader delivering large-scale, meaningful environmental projects.A stable, growing company where your technical expertise directly supports sustainable operations.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain plant equipment including centrifuges, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and dewatering presses, fans, belts, and related systems.Inspect completed repairs, identify recurring issues, and recommend cost-effective corrective actions.Strictly follow all safety legislation, protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures.Estimate time, materials, and labour for electrical/mechanical tasks; submit requisitions for approved supplies.Interpret engineering drawings, manuals, schematics, and verbal instructions to perform accurate installations.Support team performance by sharing knowledge, assisting coworkers, and ensuring quality standards are met.Complete work orders accurately with proper documentation and follow‑up communication.Disassemble machinery, replace or adjust components, clean and lubricate equipment, and ensure optimal operating conditions.Occasionally operate machinery when required and rotate across various plant areas as assigned.QualificationsValid 447A Instrumentation & Control Technician Licence (mandatory).2+ years’ experience in heavy industrial environments (water treatment, petrochemical, chemical processing, cement, metals, etc.).Strong experience with process instrumentation, including VFDs, DCS, and PLC systems.Proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.Proficient with material handling equipment, hand tools, and power tools.Comfortable working in dusty/odorous environments, performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks.SummaryThis is your opportunity to be part of a forward‑thinking team that’s not only maintaining essential infrastructure—but improving it for future generations.
