Registration Lead Join to apply for the Registration Lead role at Alberta College of Pharmacy. Reporting to the Registration Director, the Registration Lead is responsible for leading programs and operational activities within the portfolios of registration or licensure. This includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of core programs; enforcement of compliance with legislation and policies and procedures; management of complex or atypical requests and applications; and development of tools and resources to support regulated members, licensees, proprietors, and team members in understanding and adhering to the legislative framework. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership Design, develop, implement, and maintain entry to practice, reinstatement, or licensure program(s) in collaboration with the other ACP departments, as appropriate. Ensure programs adhere to curriculum and assessment development processes as directed by the competence and registration directors. Ensure the program is current, accurate, and practical, and incorporates principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. Perform ongoing program evaluation as part of continuous improvement to ensure relevance, validity, reliability, and effectiveness as directed by the competence and registration directors. Manage troubleshooting efforts for issues that occur within the program(s). Develop and deliver program training and resources. Adapt delivery of training and resources based on audience and individual learning needs. Monitor and provide oversight of program engagement and ensure compliance with expectations. Manage any contracts required to develop, implement, or maintain the program(s). Operations Manage complicated or atypical applications and requests. Review cases of non‑compliance in collaboration with other departments. Draft and issue non‑compliance and warning letters; enforce compliance and ensure resolution is achieved. Draft and issue registration correspondences (e.g., refusal, conditions), and professional undertaking agreements, as directed by the registration director; and enforce compliance. Review and manage registrants and pharmacies with conditions, stipulations, and under professional undertaking agreements. Monitor for compliance in collaboration with other departments. Maintain and coordinate the implementation of department policies and procedures. Engage with other departments regularly to collaborate, facilitate, and maintain mutual understanding of legislation, policies, procedures, trends, and issues. Collaborate on cross‑departmental projects as appropriate. Develop tools and resources to support regulated members, licensees, and proprietors in understanding and adhering to the legislative framework. Provide subject‑matter expertise and collaborate with the communications team on articles, emails, website information and other communications to regulated members, licensees, and proprietors. Other Prepare reports and correspondence to support the registration director. Prepare environmental scans and literature reviews, research, analyze, and draft documents to support legislative or policy analysis of registration or licensure‑related issues. Act as a resource to registration assessors and other team members where subject‑matter expertise and support are required. Respond to inquiries from the public and registrants in an efficient, effective, and compassionate manner. Collaborate with other team members to facilitate educational activities at ACP that support learners (e.g., pharmacist students, summer students, etc.). Create, capture, and retain documents (electronic and hard copy) as per records‑management policy. Other duties as required. You have strong planning skills with the ability to create complex plans, organize resources, and ensure completion on schedule and within budget. You’re detail‑oriented and accurate in all aspects of your work. You have strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. You can be firm in conveying your direction and are comfortable delivering tough decisions, given the mandate of a regulator. You take ownership of your work and take pride in meeting standards for quality, service, and professionalism. You’re comfortable working independently, where necessary, requiring minimal direction once expectations are clearly outlined. You’re creative, open‑minded, and respectful of diversity. You’re a collaborative team player who supports colleagues in delivering their services and acts in the best interest of the team. You enjoy learning and seek out opportunities to keep your professional knowledge and skills current. You possess excellent knowledge of pharmacy practice, pharmacy legislation, professional standards, and policies. Qualifications Relevant graduate or undergraduate degree (e.g., BSc. Pharm or PharmD) Registered or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy. Two to three years’ experience that involves coaching, influencing, leadership, and management. At least five years’ experience in pharmacy practice. Community pharmacy experience is preferred. Assets for the role Manager or licensee experience, Additional prescribing authorization, Experience working with learning management systems, Proficient in MS Word and Excel, and virtual communication and collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom). A valid Alberta driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
