Job Summary The Manager, Financial Systems will be responsible for supporting the financial systems used by the finance and accounting teams, including providing user support, delivering enhancements, and leading/participating on related system projects. They will support end‑users and work with stakeholders to ensure end‑to‑end processes and information flow efficiently and accurately. The role may also involve supporting new system implementation projects, including designing processes, gathering requirements, and performing testing. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Systems. Location: Markham, Ontario Contract & Compensation 18‑Month Contract Compensation: $100k‑130k + Benefits Key Responsibilities Support finance users with finance systems, including ERP (Navision) and budgeting & forecasting tools (Adaptive Financial Planning), covering access administration, integration, reporting, and application development/maintenance. Maintain and map integration of AFP (Adaptive Financial Planning) to ensure General Ledger account, level, and dimension setup sync with NAV. Support projects such as new system implementations, enhancements, and other initiatives, including requirement gathering, design, UAT testing, post go‑live support, training, and documentation. Manage the integrity and accuracy of information in various systems and reports. Provide finance business operational support (e.g., month‑end, year‑end). Ensure integration and error handling between finance systems are remediated promptly. Support compliance with the internal control environment in relation to IT systems controls, including maintaining related policies and performing user role reviews. Liaise with external auditors and provide systems requirements as needed. Maintain ongoing relationships and communication with IT for troubleshooting, new builds, and configuration of finance and accounting requirements. Identify areas of improvement within processes and systems. Work closely with stakeholders and business teams to establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships regarding operational issues or improvements. Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Information Systems, or related field. Experience working with FP&A reporting tools, AFP preferred. Experience with large ERP systems such as MS Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle. 5+ years of relevant experience, including project management and financial systems implementation. Experience developing and understanding internal controls and designing access & controls. Understanding of accounting and finance processes, including day‑to‑day and month‑end. Strong interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills. Competencies Excellent communication skills – able to collaborate clearly with multiple stakeholders, including IT, accounting, finance, external consultants, and project teams. Problem‑solving and identification ability – identify system issues during various project stages and work with the team toward solutions. Project management skills – prioritize and organize tasks with competing deadlines, and communicate resource constraints. Attention to detail – analyze documentation and test results at the transactional level. Technical knowledge – understand data flow between systems and tables, the finance impact on general ledger and reporting.
