Event Operations Manager at Sodexo Apply for the Event Operations Manager role in the Heritage Portfolio, London division of Sodexo Live. This position is based at the Royal Academy of Arts, Piccadilly, with occasional responsibilities at other prestigious London venues. About the role Location: Royal Academy of Arts Piccadilly and other cultural venues in Central London Salary: Up to £35,000 pa, depending on experience, plus 10% bonus Working hours: 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday (9 am–5:30 pm) with flexibility for event needs On‑site perks: Free lunch Tuesday–Friday, privileged access to art exhibitions, extensive company training Responsibilities Lead the professional, creative, and operational delivery of all Heritage Portfolio events Coordinate set‑up, service delivery, and clear‑down across varied venues and logistics Manage staff teams for dinners, receptions, breakfasts, and events as required Brief operations teams to meet client expectations and standards Adapt to budgets while maintaining event style and delivery quality Produce accurate, detailed event packs for operations and kitchen brigades Maintain storeroom, order equipment and supplies for in‑house events Administer pre‑ and post‑event internal control systems Communicate with third‑party suppliers and revise quotes as needed Occasionally support events outside London for Heritage Portfolio and Sodexo Live UK Qualifications Hospitality background with fine dining experience Experience managing heritage venue events (desirable) Agility to handle diverse event requirements Excellent communication and organisational skills Proficiency in Windows OS and various computer applications Knowledge of database management and operations Leadership qualities focused on creativity and inclusivity Compliance with health and safety regulations Budgeting and cost management skills for food, equipment, beverages, and labour Track record of effectively managing and leading teams and clients to success What We Offer Salary up to £35,000 pa, DOE, plus 10% bonus Competitive compensation and full training with protective uniform supplied Unlimited access to an online mental health and wellbeing platform Employee Assistance Programme for personal and professional support Health and wellbeing app with rewards and 24‑hr virtual GP services Sodexo Discounts Scheme and prepayment cashback card Salary Finance Platform benefits and retirement plan options Death‑in‑service benefit for colleagues who pass away while employed Learning and development tools to support career growth Cycle to Work scheme and volunteering opportunities Flexible and dynamic work environment How to Apply Ready to be part of something greater?
