We’re looking for a detail-oriented, empathetic, and technically sharp Claims Manager to manage cyber and privacy claims across our commercial and personal lines portfolios.This isn’t your typical insurance role. You’ll work closely with our incident response team, Hackbusters™, to contain threats quickly and support clients throughout the claims process.As BOXX expands into other lines of insurance, your role will also evolve offering opportunities to grow your expertise and help shape our future in this space.Reports to: Chief Cyber Intelligence & Claims OfficerDepartment: ClaimsPositions Available: 1RequirementsResponsibilitiesHandle all aspects of cyber claims from intake to closure working, including ransomware, social engineering, privacy breaches, and data exfiltration.Evaluate coverage, establish and adjust reserves, draft position letters, and negotiate settlements while working with Independent Adjusters and Claims Counsel.Manage vendor coordination with forensics, breach counsel, public relations, and credit monitoring providers.Contribute to claims resolution strategies that align with policy language and BOXX’s customer-first values.Broker, Client & Internal CollaborationServe as a trusted partner to brokers and insureds, providing regular updates, empathetic guidance, and actionable advice.Collaborate with underwriting and product teams to share claims insights that help shape policy wordings and improve risk selection.Participate in client debriefs, webinars, or broker education sessions to enhance claims transparency and trust.Work alongside the Hackbusters™ team to transition cyber incident cases into claims when necessary and at clients request.Support IR documentation, data collection, and incident timelines by communicating the necessary information for a smooth and effected claim process, ensuring full regulatory and forensic reporting.Analytics, Reporting & ComplianceMaintain accurate claims records, loss statistics, and KPI dashboards to support leadership and market updates.Stay up to date with Canadian and US privacy laws by participating in regular events in each region.Assist with Tech E&O or professional liability claims as BOXX grows this line of business.Help analyze software liability, IT contractor disputes, or SaaS-related errors.Skills & Qualifications3–7 years of experience handling cyber, privacy, or professional liability (E&O) claims.In-depth understanding of cyber policy language in Canada and US.Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with clients in high-stress scenarios.Ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising service quality.Experience coordinating with breach response vendors (forensics, legal, PR) is a strong asset.Familiarity with Tech E&O claims is a major plus.Bilingual (English/French) is a significant advantage.Active or eligible for a provincial or state Adjuster’s License (e.g., FSRA, AMF, etc.) preferred.Our CommitmentBOXX provides opportunities for people who come from all paths.
