Salary: as per CUPE Collective Agreement.Reporting to the Manager Health Services - Primary Care, the Clerk 4 - Primary Care provides leadership to the Clinic team and promotes a work environment that supports high-quality, patient-centered care and service.Location details: Clinique St. Claude Clinic, St. Claude; Union: CUPE; Department/Unit: Clinic; Employment type: Permanent; Anticipated shift: Days; Site: Centre de santé St. Claude Health Centre.Note: This description includes bilingual content and several program details in English and French.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to the Clinic team and promote a work environment conducive to achieving the highest quality patient-centered care and service.Exercise appropriate initiative and independent judgment to determine work priorities and methods, including actions on unusual matters.Ensure alignment with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.Qualifications and SkillsMinimum two (2) years’ experience in a medical clinic setting or equivalent health-related environment.Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience in an administrative setting preferred.Education: Grade 12 or equivalent; Medical Office Assistant course or equivalent; Medical Terminology course; other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) is essential.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Knowledge of electronic medical records and filing systems; ability to compile statistics and process personal health information.Strong decision-making, problem-solving, independent judgment, prioritization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.Ability to establish and maintain positive, respectful, professional working relationships; able to work both in a team and independently; attention to detail and accuracy; approachable and welcoming demeanor.Ability to respect confidentiality across paper, electronic formats, and other mediums; readiness to travel to other regional facilities as needed; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends if required.EducationGrade 12 Education or equivalent; Medical Office Assistant course or equivalent; Medical Terminology course; other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.Physical RequirementsAbility to meet the physical and mental demands of the job; no hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions; may travel to other regional facilities; occasional evenings and weekends may be required.Additional InformationApplicants may request reasonable accommodation related to the materials or activities used throughout the selection process.Policy statements on language services, Indigenous representation, immunization, background checks, and references are included.
