Quality Assurance Technical Lead StarTech.com is seeking an experienced and strategic Quality Assurance Technical Lead to lead and evolve our quality assurance practice within the Information Technology department. Reporting to the Manager, Application Development, this role is instrumental in ensuring the reliability, sustainability, and integrity of our software systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive quality strategy that spans all areas of IT, including custom development, enterprise platforms, and infrastructure. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure reliable, high‑quality technology delivery across the organization. What you will be responsible for: Quality strategy & roadmap: Build on current assets; phase in incremental, risk‑based suites and release gates. People & practice leadership: Mentor QA analysts and SDETs; embed a quality‑first mindset across Engineering, Product, and Release teams. Automation & shift‑left: Enhance existing frameworks; integrate them more deeply into Azure DevOps and add complementary tools or SaaS solutions where they add clear value. Metrics & insight: Refine KPI dashboards (defect‑escape rate, coverage, MTTD/MTTR) to keep decisions data‑driven. Environment & data stewardship: Maintain version‑aligned test environments and repeatable data provisioning for rapid feedback cycles. Essential Qualifications: Post‑secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years in Software QA with 3+ years leading QA/SDET teams. Demonstrated success evolving automation and processes in enterprise environments (ERP/CRM, cloud microservices). Experience designing QA roadmaps that evolve existing practices. Enhancing automation frameworks and integrating them into Azure DevOps (or comparable CI/CD). Risk‑based planning, exploratory testing, BDD/TDD, root‑cause analysis. Testing large ERP/CRM platforms (Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle) and their integrations. Data‑driven decision making and KPI storytelling. Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in .NET/C# and Azure services (Functions, Service Bus, SQL/Cosmos DB). Experience with Kentico or similar CMS/e‑commerce platforms. Performance, security, or accessibility testing depth. Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, PMI‑ACP.
