The Department of Professional Nursing and Allied Health invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Lab Supervisor appointment, commencing July 1, 2025, subject to final budgetary approval.

The Department houses various continuing education nursing programs and offers nurses and healthcare professionals the opportunity to expand their knowledge and expertise, specifically in the areas of occupational health, bridge to Canadian nursing, and perioperative nursing practice.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  1. Teach and facilitate lab-related experiences across nursing programs and academic departments.
  2. Provide academic and administrative leadership to enable excellent lab learning.
  3. Connect key knowledge with lab learning and current nursing practice through effective teaching and coordination of labs.
Qualifications

You will hold:

  1. An undergraduate baccalaureate degree in nursing.
  2. A graduate degree in nursing or a related field.
  3. At least 3 years of teaching experience in a nursing lab setting, specifically in undergraduate nursing education.
  4. Certification or formal training in simulation education (an asset).
  5. A passion for teaching a variety of nursing education courses.
  6. A proven track record of working in a future-focused environment with frequent change (an asset).

Unencumbered licensure with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nursing of Alberta (CRPNA) and/or the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is required.
