Are you passionate about providing exceptional IT support and thriving in a collaborative environment? Our client is hiring an IT Support Analyst for their Calgary office, delivering top-tier support with the backing of tech teams in Vancouver and Calgary.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests, ensuring all incidents are logged, tracked, and resolved within SLA guidelines.
- Provide timely support and resolution for software, network, and hardware issues, including performing root cause analysis.
- Orient and train staff and contractors on the effective use of computer equipment, software, and IT policies.
- Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair computers, printers, and other peripherals as needed.
- Manage user accounts, including setup, updates, and security maintenance.
- Prepare and assign loaner laptops, set up videoconference and webinar technology, and support mobile devices.
- Configure meeting room technology and support office automation software.
- Train staff on IT systems, create user documentation and orient new employees.
- Report on support trends and issues to IT management.
- Test new applications and changes to existing applications.
- Act as backup for litigation support staff, providing software assistance when required.
- Share ideas, best practices, and industry knowledge to enhance IT services.
- Ensure compliance with IT and company policies.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in computer systems.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a support role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems (server and workstation) installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with Azure/AWS.
- Familiarity with enterprise hardware and software.
- Understanding of IT Service Desk processes and support SLAs.
- In-depth knowledge of desktop, laptop, and printer hardware (A+ certification preferred).
- Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Group Policy, Intune).
- Networking skills, including enterprise wireless, switches, firewalls, and VPN.
- Knowledge of email systems and SMTP protocol, with preference for Exchange 2013+ / Online.
- Experience with VMware’s ESX platform.
- Proficiency in SharePoint administration and content creation.
- Experience with VOIP systems, Cisco Unified Communications, and MS Teams Phone.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of IT security principles.
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and electronically.
