Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of accounting knowledge, a strategic mindset, and a keen eye for detail to oversee and manage a comprehensive range of accounting duties. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring our client's financial health and success by providing expert management of their accounting functions, from bookkeeping to strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Bookkeeping Management: Take charge of all bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.
Accounting Software Implementation: Select and implement the most suitable accounting software for each client, including setting up a customized chart of accounts tailored to their specific business needs.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, providing insightful analysis that helps in strategic decision-making.
Budgeting and Cash Flow Management: Prepare and analyze detailed budgets and cash flow projections, enabling clients to plan effectively for their financial future.
Policy and Procedure Development: Create comprehensive accounting policies and procedures to standardize and streamline financial operations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
Strategic Financial Planning: Develop business cases for proposed strategic changes, supporting clients in making informed decisions that align with their financial goals.
Compliance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and financial standards to mitigate risk and maintain integrity.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Update and maintain financial plans and models, providing clients with accurate forecasting to guide business strategy.
Break-even Analysis: Perform break-even analyses to help clients understand the implications of business decisions and identify paths to profitability.
Support Audit and Review Preparation: Assist clients with the preparation for annual reviews and audits, ensuring clients are fully prepared and compliant.
Support Year-end Tax Preparation: Help manage the preparation of year-end financial files for tax purposes, streamlining the process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Software Training: Provide accounting software training to clients’ teams, enhancing their ability to manage daily financial tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification highly preferred.
A minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in a senior accounting role.
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on client service.
A solid understanding of financial compliance and regulation.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
