Labour Relations Specialist

We are currently assisting a valued client based in Edmonton to find their next Labour Relations Specialist. This is a full time permanent onsite role.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic labour relations advice.
Provide guidance and expertise on the interpretation, application, and administration of the company's collective agreements, and handle complaints and grievances for both unionized and non-unionized employees.
Conduct in-depth investigations into employee and complaint matters, including interviews and gathering relevant documentation, and take appropriate steps to resolve any issues.
Serve as a subject matter expert in employee case management, attendance, discipline, and terminations.
Participate in conciliation and interest arbitration where required.
Provide support to negotiations through various supportive roles including research, analysis, drafting of collective agreement language, gathering relevant data/documentation/information, etc.

Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, preferably in labour relations.
Minimum of 3+ years of labour relations experience.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting is an asset
Experience in workplace investigations, handling grievances, negotiations is highly desired.
Strong interpersonal skills and communications skills, verbal and written.
