Who We Are

We are opening a brand-new distribution center located at Highway 404 and Green Lane in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. This is a state-of-the-art 1.2 million square foot, automated, and multi-temperature facility that will support Loblaw’s world-class distribution network. We are seeking passionate distribution operations candidates to join our team to support the launch and ongoing operation of this new facility.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  1. Manages all colleagues on leave (STD/LTD/Family Caregiver, etc.)
  2. Answers general questions and inquiries in all areas of human resources such as compensation, benefits, recruiting, and employee relations
  3. Assists recruiters with full-cycle recruitment and orientation
  4. Processes employment verifications
  5. Administers and maintains Attendance Program
  6. Prepares and maintains weekly reports outlining key HR metrics
  7. Supports Operations team with employee engagement initiatives
  8. Compiles, distributes, and maintains reports on personnel utilization including weekly status reports, weekly termination reports
  9. Assists HRBP with internal investigations
Requirements

What You Will Need:

  • Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources and obtained (or working towards) HR Management Certification
  • 3 – 5 years progressive HR experience, coordinating departmental programs and initiatives is a definite asset
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information
  • Solid computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focused and able to nurture positive customer relationships
  • Highly organized with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem-solve
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service with a strong sense of urgency
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, requiring little direction
