Senior Manager, Sales and Leasing

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Sales and Leasing will build the capabilities of and direct a team responsible for the sales and leasing of all residential developments within the SmartLiving portfolio in the GTA, including market condominiums, single-family homes, and purpose-built rental units. SmartLiving continues to move forward with an ambitious development program, with a significant pipeline of residential multi-family units coming to market across the country. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with partners, senior management, and Business Unit Leaders to drive long-term growth and profitability through smart, strategic decision making at all stages of the sales and leasing process. This role will build, lead, and develop a talented, high-performance team with a “hands-on” and entrepreneurial mind-set to deliver innovative, market-driven results in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales and leasing centres.
- Manage the schedule of all sales, leasing, and administrative staff.
- Be the onsite presence in the sales/leasing centers from Tuesday – Saturday from 10am – 7pm as core hours.
- Be available during events, sales launch, open houses, and other events outside of core hours.
- Mentor and manage sales, leasing, and administrative team.
- Grow and maintain an established network of external agents/brokers.
- Execute the sales and leasing strategy as defined by the executive teams.
- Work closely with the corporate marketing team to ensure effective and consistent articulation of brand and messaging to various audiences, both public-facing and internal, ensuring alignment of company messaging.
- Execute the marketing and communications strategy for sales and leasing projects as defined by the executive team.
- Provide direction for the design and execution of marketing materials and coordinate the production and delivery of marketing materials to end users.
- Work with internal project teams to advise on project design, including design of the building, amenities, and floorplans to maximize purchase value.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communication, real estate, or equivalent.
- Post-graduate degree in marketing or related field would be an asset.
- 5+ years in a professional sales and/or leasing position in an active market (prefer 3+ years of that in real estate).
- A strong, established professional network of agents/brokers in the pre-construction sales industry.
- A passion for developing innovative solutions to solve marketing problems.
- An established track record in leading and managing a diverse and skilled group of professionals and in building high-performance teams, expanding capacity and scaling business for growth.
- Exceptional oral and written presentation skills to facilitate communication and being the company’s “external face”.
The Senior Manager, Sales and Leasing must be client focused, advocate and communicate a positive image of the company, both internally and externally. The Senior Manager, Sales and Leasing shall take accountability for decisions made and conduct oneself in a respectful and ethical manner in representing the company’s interests. The Senior Manager, Sales and Leasing shall demonstrate entrepreneurialism and behave like an “owner” in carrying out daily tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating creativity and resourcefulness in achieving desired results. The Senior Manager, Sales and Leasing is expected to be a team player and work effectively with colleagues and associates in terms of input, sharing of ideas and working to achieve common goals.
