Tasks
  1. Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  2. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  3. Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
  4. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements
  5. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  6. Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  7. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  8. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales
  9. Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
  10. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  11. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  12. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  13. Oversee development of communication strategies
  14. Advise senior management
  15. Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
  16. Provide customer service
  17. Manage knowledge
  18. Coaching
  19. Propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures
  20. Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
  21. Deliver lectures and presentations
  22. Conduct research to determine efficiency and effectiveness of managerial policies and programs
  23. Analyze and provide advice on the managerial methods and organization of an establishment
  24. Identify human resources requirements
  25. Human resource planning and development
  26. MS Office

  28. Advise employers on human resource and other employment-related issues
